Private-label dog grooming sprays — deodorizing & detangling

Between-bath sprays are a high-repeat, premium-margin tier. Aimo fills water-based, non-flammable deodorizing sprays, colognes, detangling mists and waterless foams — spec-matched to your fragrance, formula and bottle.

Four finishing sprays for your line

Sprays sell on convenience and scent, and the format itself carries premium: a foam-with-glove or a signature cologne mist commands more than a basic bottle. Every Aimo spray is water-based and low/no-alcohol, so it ships as ordinary cargo and stays in the low-barrier cosmetic lane.

The premium of format. A signature cologne mist or a foam-with-glove commands more shelf price than a plain bottle, and sprays are pure repeat purchase — a light daily freshen-up between baths. Because ours are water-based, they avoid the flammable-goods surcharges and air-freight limits that catch out alcohol-heavy sprays.

  • Cosmetic comfort & conditioning
  • No hydrocortisone, no drug claims

A note on the "itch and comfort" aisle

Soothing and anti-itch sprays are one of the faster-moving corners of grooming right now, and buyers ask about them constantly. There are two very different products hiding behind the same shelf position, and the difference decides how easily you can list it.

The medicated route uses actives such as hydrocortisone and carries drug-style claims. It sells, but it brings registration, labelling and retailer-onboarding friction, and we do not make it.

The cosmetic route — what we build — uses colloidal oatmeal, aloe and allantoin to condition and comfort the coat and skin surface. It is positioned as care, not cure. That keeps the product in the low-barrier lane, lets it sit on a general grooming shelf, and still gives owners the everyday product they are reaching for between vet visits. If your brand needs a comfort SKU without stepping into the veterinary lane, this is the version to launch.

FAQ

Sourcing questions

Are your grooming sprays flammable?
No — we formulate water-based, low/no-alcohol sprays so they ship as ordinary, non-dangerous cargo, avoiding flammable-goods surcharges and air-freight restrictions.
How does the spray deodorize?
By cosmetic odour-neutralising and masking — never an antibacterial claim, which keeps the product in the low-barrier cosmetic lane.
Can we use our own fragrance?
Yes — fragrance-free or a custom scent from our library, matched to your brand.
What is the MOQ?
Sprays and foams start at around 3,000 units per SKU, with trial-friendly first runs.

The two decisions that set the cost of a grooming spray

Everything else in a spray brief is detail. These two are the ones that move the landed cost and the freight class, and most briefs arrive without them settled.

Decision one: water-based or alcohol-based. A classic dog cologne or finishing mist is often built on alcohol because it flashes off fast and carries fragrance well. It also makes the product flammable cargo, which means dangerous-goods paperwork, a surcharge, and in some cases a refusal from an air courier or an e-commerce fulfilment centre. Every spray we build is water-based and non-flammable, so it ships as ordinary cargo. If you specifically want an alcohol build we will quote it, but we will tell you what it does to your freight before you commit.

Decision two: is it a spray or a foam? They read the same on a brief and behave differently in the hand. A fine-mist spray suits a finishing or deodorising step over a whole coat; a waterless foam suits a targeted, no-rinse clean on a section — muddy legs, a soiled rear, a between-baths freshen-up. The foam needs a foamer pump and a different surfactant balance; it is not the same liquid in a different bottle.

Who else fills private-label grooming sprays

A spray is a filling job, so the supplier list is broadly the same one you would shop for shampoo. In an August 2026 sourcing scan the manufacturers publishing private-label pet sprays or colognes included Tropical Products, Glo-Marr, SynergyLabs, Natural Pet Innovations and Cassco Bio Labs in the US, Bo International and Naturo & Orgo in India, ORIZI Group in Malaysia, Epilab in Australia and Biocrown in Taiwan. If you want a single spray at a few hundred units close to your market, one of them will beat us — lower minimum, shorter freight. We are the better call when the spray is part of a set, when the waterless foam needs a matching waterless wipe, or when you want the retail bottle and the groomer gallon filled from the same batch.

Where sprays fit a private-label range

A spray is rarely the SKU that opens an account, and it is often the one that keeps it. It is the lowest-friction repeat purchase in grooming — used between baths rather than at them, so it turns over several times faster than a shampoo. Brands that carry both usually find the shampoo sets the positioning and the spray carries the reorder rate.

The pairing most brands miss

A waterless foam and a waterless wipe do the same job at two different moments — the foam for a section that needs working, the wipe for a quick pass at the door or in the car. They are made by two different kinds of factory, a liquid filling line and a nonwoven converting line, so most suppliers can only offer one of them. Aimo's group runs both, which is why a no-rinse pair can be developed together, quoted on one cost sheet and shipped on one timeline.
